In the first half of this lotus lovin’ extravaganza, we’ll groove to a slow Fluid Yoga vinyasa flow of sequences designed to warm and strengthen the muscles of the hips and legs—especially the hamstrings, inner and outer hips, quads, and groins. The second half of class will find you low to the ground and deep into the hips, culminating in an exploration of padmasana—lotus pose. Focusing the signature slow-flow, floor-based movement of SPA Yoga on hip-opening will allow students to abide in postures that can seem intense or too full of sensation, and help develop the strength of mind and spirit to surrender to deep release. This class will be a 50/50 split of standing and floor-based work with restorative hip openers and conclude with an extended savasana.
