“We all have an internal clock…and that clock is interesting”

This movement class aims, not only at shifting ones dance, but the participant’s perspective. Within shifts there is powerful creativity.
The Walking Dance was created with hints from the deeply graceful and expressive forms of Butoh Dance and Thai Classical. With a focus Body-Energy Awareness, The Walking Dance’s impact begins with movement but immediately resonates and stirs all corners of the life: its pacing, spacing, and awareness. Once the exercise is learned, it expands, empowers, and grounds. This work calms nerves, palpably affects the atmosphere of a room, and dramatically changes one’s relationship to time and physical expression in space.
