This class will include an intro to SUP Yoga on land prior to getting on the water. We will cover basic water safety, how to stand on a paddleboard, how to properly paddle, and how to anchor once on the water. We will then perform an entire yoga flow on the board beginning with centering, breathing and seated poses, gradually moving into balancing, standing, arm balances, and inversions as students become more comfortable on the board. We will end class with a floating savasana! Join us to increase balance and core strength, increase focus and concentration, and connect with nature.

This SUP yoga class is designed for all levels, perfect for beginner yogis to advanced practitioners looking to challenge their yoga practice off the mat and onto the waters. We will start up with an introduction to paddling and board foundation where we emphasize safety and control. We will then have a short warm up paddle followed by a blissful asana practice (with proper SUP modifications), and the world’s most restorative savasana! This floating practice is creatively designed to help find a deeper connection with nature while energizing one’s practice through core strength and balance.

Stand up paddle boarding is a great way to improve balance, gain core strength, and connect with nature. The same can be said for yoga. What changes when bring them together- everything! We'll start on land learning the basics of SUP'ing. Then we'll get on the board and paddle, turn and float. After paddling for awhile we will do some asanas getting the feel for yoga on the boards. We'll go back to paddling before we bring it all together with a full flow on the boards! Imagine warrior 1 with the sun warming your face and illuminating your soul! The joy of headstand on the boards and the complete and utter beauty of a floating meditation! You can do it all or maybe not! It's not the outcome that we are after, it's the heartbeat feeling of falling in love with something new.

In this class you will learn the basic paddle stroke, how to get on and off your board and enter the water, the anatomy of a SUP board, and how to SUP! Then we will lose our paddles and enter the yoga portion of the class: a full vinyasa practice including sun salutations, inversions, and arm balances will be explored. Come with a sense of humor, and the willingness to get wet!

This class will include an intro to SUP Yoga on land prior to getting on the water. We will cover basic water safety, how to stand on a paddleboard, how to properly paddle, and how to anchor once on the water. We will then perform an entire yoga flow on the board beginning with centering, breathing and seated poses, gradually moving into balancing, standing, arm balances, and inversions as students become more comfortable on the board. We will end class with a floating savasana! Join us to increase balance and core strength, increase focus and concentration, and connect with nature.

Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga (SUP Yoga) brings yoga asana and philosophy off the mat and out into Unity Consciousness of Nature. Practicing yoga on a floating surface allows you to challenge your strength, balance and awareness, building muscle memory, stamina, flexibility and stillness of MindBody. As the board (your mat) Ebbs & Flows on the water’s surface, you will unlock your inner vision and awareness in each present moment; learning when to surrender finding "ease" and when it is appropriate to exert "effort"~ finding your own Unique Balance (your Elemental Equilibrium) somewhere in the middle. This class will include: a short Intro to paddling & safety and on land yoga warm-up, a moving on water SUP Meditation, Anchored on water Yoga asana Class, a bit of free play time, and the best part of practice a nice long floating Savasana(ahhh!). Everyone is welcome, no yoga or SUP experience required.

H2Om: A Floating Yoga Class

Stand up paddle boarding is a great way to improve balance, gain core strength, and connect with nature. The same can be said for yoga. What changes when bring them together- everything! We'll start on land learning the basics of SUP'ing. Then we'll get on the board and paddle, turn and float. After paddling for awhile we will do some asanas getting the feel for yoga on the boards. We'll go back to paddling before we bring it all together with a full flow on the boards! Imagine warrior 1 with the sun warming your face and illuminating your soul! The joy of headstand on the boards and the complete and utter beauty of a floating meditation! You can do it all or maybe not! It's not the outcome that we are after, it's the heartbeat feeling of falling in love with something new.
